If you’re wondering why Epsom Calfskin leather sounds so familiar that’s because it’s one of the classic leathers Hermès uses for its handbags and what’s more, for some of its own watch straps too!

Unlike other leathers, Epsom Calfskin leather is an embossed leather, which simply means that the grain or pattern is “embossed” or pressed into the leather. It is not the natural grain. This compressed type of leather takes on a laminated feel, and holds its shape much better than natural grained leathers. It has high resistant’s to scratches; and cleaning Epsom leather is as simple as wiping it with a damp cloth. Over time, the strap won’t discolour, making it as good tomorrow as it is today.
