The Franck Muller Conquistador Cortez King 10000 K CC is the epitome of Franck Muller’s design ethos. Utilising both their Cintrée Curvex case, a tonneau curved body in 3 dimensions involving great technical difficulties in manufacturing; and their Avant-Garde “Muller” stylised numerals, makes it impossible to mistake this watch for any other. Franck Muller was very much about colour too. Who can forget the furore of chatter when the “Crazy Hours” was launched with its multi-coloured dial? So yes, you can choose the safe option of Black or Silver or even a White dial, but where is the individuality in that? Much better to have a Blue, or Red or… how about a pink dial? A vibrant pink dial takes this watch to another level! Make no mistake at 45mm this watch already makes a statement, but due to its Curvex architectured case, it sits extremely comfortably on the wrist. Some say that they wouldn’t be seen dead in Pink and Red and in most instances, I would agree. But, the red highlighted minute track, coupled with the bold use of luminous hours, looks stunning against the pink Guilloche engraved dial, both in sunlight and in darkness. It’s hard to take your eyes off it. Having just been recently serviced by our watch-smith, the calibre FM 1185 automatic movement is confidently ticking away. Worn and adored by the likes of Elton John, Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis and Gianni Versace, this watches star quality is guaranteed! |
