Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Compressor Chronograph Limited Edition Q205C570

£10500

The Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Compressor Chronograph Ceramic was released in 2014 as a limited edition run of 500 pieces.

This is an excellent example that only shows the slightest signs of wear. It comes with a full set of boxes and papers, including a travel case, and a Victorinox JLC army knife!

The most unusual feature of this imposing timepiece is its Compressor crown. It operates differently from normal screw-down crowns as you twist it from one side to another. White indicators show the crown is locked while red means open for winding or adjustment.

The red on the crown is also used on the dial with the red chronograph seconds hand. It shows up really well on the otherwise black and white dial.

At 46mm wide, it makes a statement. If you like bold sports watches, this will interest you. The matte black ceramic case of course matches the titanium matte metal pushers and crown.

The watch uses the in-house-made JLC caliber 757 automatic chronograph movement. This amazing movement combines a chronograph with added features: a second dial zone (with day/night) indicator, as well as the date. It operates at a high frequency of 28,800 BPH, giving a power reserve of 65 hours.

The dial of the Master Compressor is undoubtedly part of the Master Compressor collection. A slightly different treatment, but the collection’s signature hands and 12 o’clock hour marker remain. So a watch that is both legible and masculine from one of Switzerland’s great manufactures. The case is water-resistant to 100 meters and the black strap is “Trieste” calfskin leather.

When it was released the price was $15000. So a truly great value watch now.
